Qualcomm smartphone manufacturers are not only bringing middle and lower middle class chipsets but also high-end chipsets that are widely adopted by cellphone manufacturers. Even Qualcomm has also launched the Snapdragon 855 chipset which is quite tough by carrying out ferocious performance which is widely adopted by some high-end smartphones. Now Qualcomm has plans to present the latest version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 which is ready to become the next flagship chipset.
This information is described by Qualcomm Sr. Director of Product Management named Judd Heape in his interview with Android Authority. On this occasion it was explained that the most important upcoming implementation would be presented in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 . This chipset will be equipped with a number of more promising and capable features.
Judd further stated that Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 will be the next leading SoC. This chipset made by a company from San Diego, United States, will bring standard HDR10 + support and will offer high-resolution camera support.
Be informed that the Snapdragon 865 chipset will be supported by Qualcomm’s HDR10 + standard. Please note that HDR10 was originally produced by Amazon and Samsung in 2017. Furthermore Samsung developed HDR10 +. Now the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset that is being prepared will be supported by the HDR 10+ feature.
Now Qualcomm is working on HDR10 + which will make its initial debut in the next flagship chipset. Judd Heape himself referred more to the new chipset by referring to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 even though he did not confirm that Snapdragon 865 was the last name for the chipset.
Keep in mind this chipset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 successor chipset where it’s likely that the naming can still change. This Snapdragon 855 chipset has been found in a number of the latest flagships launched at MWC 2019 which have supported HDR10 +, but in this case Smasung is not a technology developed by Qualcomm.
That’s why this new standard from Qualcomm is likely to compete with Samsung’s HDR10 + technology. Not only that, besides the support of the HDR10 + feature, Judd Heape in his interview revealed the camera resolution in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset.
As we have seen, now Qualcomm has updated the specification sheet for a number of Snapdragon chipsets, adding camera support to 192 MP. Of course this is an exciting new innovation, especially for smartphone manufacturers who are competing to present superior smartphones in their cameras.
Furthermore Judd also explained that the entries in the previous specification sheet were not added. The highest resolution mode does not support vodeo recording speeds of 30fps and 60fps and multi-frame noise reduction and zero shutter lag (ZSL) technology.
Some smartphone manufacturers are now starting to equip their latest devices with camera sensors that have high resolution. Qualcomm itself decided to notify users, producers and developers of support for high-resolution cameras. So when will Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 be launched? We look forward to the latest news.
